Three weeks in...

JG: With all the trip planning, we've been a little slow in getting the site up and running, but we're live now a few weeks into it. A recap of the journey thus far....

Tues, 3/5 - we depart from O'Hare airport in Chicago in our new homes ...

We arrived in Tamarindo (west coast) from San Jose, and thankfully the flight was uneventful enough. Apparently the co-pilot thought the same thing.

We crashed for a few nights at a hostel, which was actually full but we were offered the owner's spare bedroom, which worked out just fine. www.hotelmahayana.com - would recommend staying there. We also had a chance to hang out with Sandy's friend Jeff, who was also in Tamarindo for surfing school and to vacation with his pops for a couple of weeks. Had dinner with them back-to-back nights, the second of which included fish that they caught earlier in the day! The third day, Sandy and I even took surf lessons ourselves, and I think we held our own....
