Croatia - Part I

JG: We took a car-sharing service to Zadar, Croatia with one weird dude from Ljubljana, driving the coast most of the way, which was gorgeous though nauseating from the serpentine road. It didn't help that weird guy drove like he was rushing his pregnant wife to the hospital.

Rented an apartment outside of the old town, which was perfect as we were able to have some amenities in between touring the historical area. The marble-laden streets and seaside views, which we experienced all down Croatia, were sights to behold. The old town was charming both day and night, and we also took a bus out to the Plitvice Lakes National Park, which contained a stunning array of turquoise lakes throughout.

SS: I have been wanting to visit this amazing country for two years now! It is almost surreal to finally be here and it is just as beautiful as I imagined.
The Plitvice Lakes are stunning, the waters are turquoise blue and brilliant green colours that almost glow; inclusive will endless waterfalls and this place is magical. Certainly worth the long day visit.

Zadar was quant with a unique vibe. They have a sea organ that constantly played music by the current of the waves pushing air through, coordinated with a giant light circle embedded in the walkway that was also powered by the water. Very cool at night.

This part of our journey is almost like a vacation. Most of what to see, do and enjoy is sun, sand and water. A nice break from our hectic travel schedule.
