Bogotá

JG: Bogotá was a lot to take in over just a few days, but we covered a decent bit of ground and had a good time. Met a few more people, visited a few museums and the historic district (where we stayed), and had a fun Sat night at the most ridiculous spectacle of a bar/restaurant we've ever seen called Andres Carne de Res. Took an overnight flight to Cusco, Peru through Lima, where we slept at the airport for a few hours. Just getting settled in Cusco, where we'll be hitting up Machu Picchu among other sites and ruins over the next few days.

SS: Bogotá is insane! With 9 million people, this city goes on forever. This was our first exposure to altitude sitting at 8700ft. It made the transition to Cusco, 11500ft, slightly easier although we are moving around at a slow and steady pace - old man style!
There really aren't any words to describe the restaurant Andres Carne de Res in Bogotá. With a capacity of over 2000, several different areas to wonder/get lost in, and dance to the wee hours; this place is like nothing we have ever seen before. Amazing!!
